This holiday season, our community united to support Bay Area Turning Point’s (BATP) annual Adopt-a-Family Project, providing hope and comfort to families overcoming domestic violence and crisis in the Greater Houston area.

About Bay Area Turning Point and the Adopt-a-Family Project

Bay Area Turning Point is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending sexual and domestic violence through advocacy, shelter, support, and empowerment. Each year, BATP’s Adopt-a-Family Project connects compassionate donors with local families in need, ensuring that survivors and their children experience a joyful and dignified holiday season.

Donors are matched with families and provided a personalized wish list of gifts and necessities. These gifts are delivered discreetly, honoring families’ privacy and creating a sense of belonging and celebration at a difficult time.

Our 2025 Adopt-a-Family Impact

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to adopt a family of three this Christmas and fulfill their holiday wish list. Through our fundraiser, we collected and donated:

• 🧸 A Barbie toy, blanket, and hoodie – bringing warmth and fun to a young child

• 🏎️ A Lightning McQueen toy and chair – delivering both comfort and playtime excitement

• 🍳 A complete pot set – providing necessary cookware for nourishing family meals

Each item was selected with care to bring not just material support, but also happiness and a sense of normalcy for a family starting fresh after hardship.
